3M EMI Copper Foil Shielding Tape 1181 is a 2.6-mil (0.066 mm) thick tape composed of a 1.4-mil (0.036 mm) flat copper foil backing coated on one side with a non-corrosive, electrically conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive supplied on a removeable liner.
3M Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape 1181 is a conductive adhesive shielding tape that is designed for applications that require reliable, point to point electrical contact. It comes on a removable liner for easy die cutting and handling. The tape is rated for 600V dry applications.
3M EMI Shielding Tape 1181 has a deadsoft, copper foil backing with a pressure sensitive, electrically conductive, acrylic adhesive that ensures firm adherence. The copper foil backing of the tape offers excellent resistance against oxidation and discoloration. The conductive particles in the adhesive offer low resistance between the substrate and the backing. This flame retardant tape is designed for grounding and EMI shielding in equipment, components and shielded rooms. UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.

The 3M copper tape 1181 is typically used as EMI / RFI shielding tape. The main area of application is in the electronics industry, for example for electromagnetic or radio-electrical shielding applications, cable wrapping and surface contacts to non-solderable materials.
